Laughing gas is nitrous oxide, N2O (more properly called dinitrogen oxide). It is a colorless gas with a sweet odor and taste. Inhalation of laughing gas cause disorientation, euphoria, numbness, loss of motor coordination, dizziness, and ultimately a loss of consciousness.
