Let   the   Original sum is   Rs x 

So   according   to   the   question ,   

After   5%   of   deduction   we   get ,   x - 5x/100 = 19x/20 and  

again   10 %   deduction   we   get ,   

19x/20 - 19x/20 x 10/100

= 19x/20 - 19x/200

= (190x-19x)/200

= 171x/200

and   it   is   given   as ,   171x/200 = 171 

So   x   =  200

So, The original sum was Rs 200
