An alloy is a homogeneous mixture of two or more metals, or a metal and a non-metal. 

For example: 

 Stainless steel is an alloy of Nickel and Chromium. 

 Amalgam is an alloy of Mercury. 

 Brass is an alloy of Copper and Zinc. 

 Bronze is an alloy of Copper and Tin. 

 Solder is an alloy of Lead and Tin.
