Democratic govt is preferred for the following reasons-
- Power in the hands of people.no single person rules the country.
- Citizens participate in all the matters and hence feel unified for the nation.
- People are directly responsible for the social, cultural and economically condition of the country along with the elected representatives which gives them equal say in the decisions.
- Democracy is a form of govt. in which rulers are elected by the people.
- Democracy improves the quality of decision making.
- Democracy provides a method to deal with differences and conflicts.
- Democracy enhances the dignity of citizens.
- A democratic govt. is a better govt. because it is more accountable form of govt.
- Thus we can say that there is an overwhelming support for democratic govt. all over the world.
Hence, the democracy is by the people, for the people, of the people.
