Construct a triangle of sides 4cm,5cm and 6 cm and then a triangle similar to it whose sides are 2/3 of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

Step IX: From D, draw, ED||AC, meeting BA at E. We have ΔEDB which is the required triangle.

Hence, we have the new ΔEBD similar to the given ΔABC whose sides are equal to 2/3rd of the corresponding sides of ΔABC.
