According to van der Waals equation of state for 1 mole of a gas,

(P + a/V2)(V- b) = 0

Since, the volume occupied by gas molecules is negligible, b = 0.

How did u took volume =22.4L it's not given in the question that it is an ideal gas?

@Darshana, you told that it is the case of an Ideal Gas.
When you solve the Ideal Gas Law using a value of 1 mole, the volume calculates to 22.4L per mole.
