Find all values of 'K' for which one root one root of the equation x2-(K+1)x +K2+K-8=0 , exceeds 2 and other root is smaller than 2

According to question 2 lies between the roots of the equation.

Now putting the value of x=2 in the given equation find the value of k

you will get the answer.
