Gas compressibility factor is the ratio of the molar volume of the gas compared to the molar volume of the ideal gas at the same conditions.

i.e Z = PV/nRT

For ideal gas PV = nRT, where P is pressure, V is volume, n is the number of moles, R is the ideal gas constant and T is temperature.

∴ Z=1
