Prove that the reflected ray rotates twice the angle through which the plane mirror is rotated.

We know that a ray of light is reflected by an angle about the normal after reflection. Now, when the mirror itself is rotated by θ, the normal also rotates by θ. So the ray of light is reflected at an angle θ about the Normal. Hence the total angle becomes 2θ
