While doing an experiment a student observed that the blue colour of the aqueous copper sulphate solution was changed to pale green by immersing a metal rod in it. Which metal rod is immersed in it?

(a) Iron rod is immersed in it. When the iron rod is inserted in copper sulphate solution, iron being more reactive than copper displaces it and iron sulphate will be formed which is pale green in colour.
