(i) Which element in first group has atom of largest size? Give reason for your answer.
(ii) What is the valency of element R?
(iii) If the number of valence electrons in Y is one, what will be the number of valence electrons in X and Z? Give reason for your answer

(i) Z as atomic size increases down the group.
(ii) Zero
(iii) One. Because in a group, number of valence electrons is identical.
