(i) Imagine for a moment that the earth has no atmosphere. What would be the colour of sky in such a situation? Write in one sentence the reason for your answer.
(ii) The power of a lens is +1.5 dioptre. Name the type of defect of vision that can be corrected by using this lens. Draw a ray diagram to illustrate this defect of vision.

(i) The colour of the sky is the absence of the atmosphere will be black. This will happen because no scattering of light shall take place.
(ii) As power is positive, so it is a convex lens. Defect of vision is called Hypermetropia /long sightedness / far sightedness.
