(i) India is one of the world’s wind superpower at present.
(ii) The largest wind farm cluster is located in Tamil Nadu from Nagercoil to Madurai.
(iii) Apart from there, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Lakshadweep have important wind farms.
(iv) Nagercoil and Jaisalmer are well known for the effective use of wind energy in the country.
(v) Since India has a long coastline, the coasts can easily be used for setting up effective windmills.
