Solve the following system of equations graphically:

x + 2y = 5,

2x – 3y = – 4

Also find the points where the lines meet the x-axis.

The system of equations have a unique solution, x = 1, y = 2

The line x + 2y = 5 meets the x-axis at (5, 0) and 2x – 3y = – 4 meets the x-axis at (–2, 0)
