(i) What causes tendril to encircle or coil around the object in contact with it? Explain the process involved.

(ii) What is chemotropism? Give one example.

(i) Auxin diffuses to the other part which is away from the support. Part of the tendril in contact from the support does not grow rapidly. H 2 Part of the tendril away from the support grow rapidly and cause the tendril to grow around a support. 

(ii) Chemotropism—Movement in plant due to chemicals as stimulus. Example: Growth of pollen tubes towards ovules (or any other).
