Statement: The square of the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle is equal to sum of squares of other two sides. of squares of other two sides.
Given: A right triangle ABC right-angled at B.
 

Adding (i) and (ii), we get​

[ Diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles]

⇒ 4AB2 = AC2 + BD2

Hence proved.​
