(a) : ZnO is an amphoteric oxide and dissolves readily in acids forming corresponding zinc salts and alkalies forming zincates.
ZnO + H2SO4 → ZnSO4 + H2O
zinc sulphate
ZnO + 2NaOH → Na2 ZnO2 + H2O
