Functions of fodder feed:

• It keeps the animal in good health.
• It is palatable and easy for digestion.
• It provides fresh nutrients in their natural form.

Functions of forage feed:

• It helps in providing excellent,generally dilute sources of nutrients.
• It supplies particularly valuable fibre for rumen digestion.
• Being home grown and, in many cases, more sustainable and economic than other feeds.
