Given a+4b+7c=8  -------- (1)   and

7a+5b+3c=10 -----------(2)

multiplying equation 1 by 7 and solving equation 1 and 2 we get:

b + 2c = 2 ---------(3)

Now from equation 1 and 3 we get:

a + b + c = 2
