If you add a few drops of acetic acid to a test tube containing 

(i) distillated water and
(ii) aqueous solution of sodium hydrogen carbonate, what would you observe? If a reaction takes place in any one of the above two cases, list its two observations.

No reaction with distilled water. Chemical reaction occurs with solution of NaHCO3
Two Observations:
(i) Evolution of a colourless, odourless gas.
(ii) The gas is evolved with brisk effervescence
