The Diary of a Young Girl

The hideout had promised their life but somehow killed their spirit. The Frank family received a call-up notices. The family got scared. The vision of the concentration camps and lonely calls were frightening. So, they decided to go into hiding even if it had to be a month earlier than what had been planned.

In the hideout, the families could live. It promised them life. Anne and her family also thought to have the annexe as a place to hide. However, Anne often felt bad as the miserable physical and emotional conditions of the annexe-I and confinement bothered her. She missed being able to see the nature and the sky. People had to live in severe conditions. Anne didn’t have privacy. Living through the fears of war was a terrible thing. All the residents got tired of the atmosphere of horror all the time. They had almost forgotten how to laugh. The habitants of the annexes lived under tension affecting their everyday live.
